Filtering External Content Type using client object model.

Hi,

I am trying to find a way out to search/filter external content type entities matching the user input. I have to work with Client Object Model to achieve this. I am able to extract n number of entity instances of an External Content Type  as defined in the Limit Filter, but not able to find a way out to search/Filter them directly from the server based on user input. 

I found a Sample code which I am unable to compile for which I started this thread Sample Code.

Is there any other way we can achieve this?

Any suggestion/help is greatly appreciated.
