Developer site template is introduced in SP2013 to be used in app development. As recommended it should be used only in development, it should never be used in production. Once Apps are ready, app should be moved to app catalog for distribution.
I am wondering why developer site template is introduced. Can 't team site template be used in app development? could anyone please help me here to understand this.
