REST or CSOM?

Hi All,

Just a quick Friday Afternoon straw poll which I'd be interested to know ...

For "SharePoint-Hosted Apps" - would/do you use CSOM or REST?  Why?  Are there any advantages / capabilities that one gives over the other or is it purely a question of preference?

Extending that further - for cloudhosted (auto/provider) - does the same apply and is one method generally preferred when dealing with OAuth in this scenario?

I'm new to this stuff and had been using the 2 terms interchangeably to mean the same thing and clearly they're not!!
