We are developing a SharePoint-hosted App which stores data and thought it best practice, that this data is stored in lists in the App Web. We can declaratively deploy these lists and items in them. However, when I try to use the normal SharePoint UI to add or edit items, I get a 403 Forbidden back. This phenomenon occurs with my local SharePoint instance, but not when I deploy the same app to our online 365 tenant.
Does anybody know what is supposed to be possible with the normal SharePoint List experience in the App Web? Am I missing some configuration somewhere?
One point to note - the App Web has a url in a different domain to my host web when deploying to on-premise, but with the online platform, it stays within sharepoint.com.
